Supplementary Information

In 2019, CRR showed how P&G’s exposure to deforestation may affect the company’s reputation. The company had been buying most palm oil products from non-certified suppliers. There was also a lack of transparency as P&G had not updated its palm oil mill list since 2017. At that time, P&G only relied on the traders to take actions on the unsustainable suppliers. The list was finally updated later in 2019.

In 2020, P&G established a grievance system and progress can be observed through its public grievance tracker.
